Anxiety is an emotion characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil, often accompanied by nervous behavior such as pacing back and forth, somatic complaints, and rumination. It includes subjectively unpleasant feelings of dread over anticipated events.
Anxiety is a feeling of uneasiness and worry, usually generalized and unfocused as an overreaction to a situation that is only subjectively seen as menacing. It is often accompanied by muscular tension, restlessness, fatigue, inability to catch one’s breath, tightness in the abdominal region, and problems in concentration. Anxiety is closely related to fear, which is a response to a real or perceived immediate threat; anxiety involves the expectation of future threat including dread. People facing anxiety may withdraw from situations which have provoked anxiety in the past.
Though anxiety may be considered a normal human response, when excessive or persisting beyond developmentally appropriate periods it may be dignosed as an anxiety disorder. There are multiple forms of anxiety disorder (such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) with specific clinical definitions. Part of the definition of an axiety disorder, which distinquishes it from every day anxiety, is that it is persistent, typically lasting 6 months or more, although the criterion for duration is intended as a general guide with allowance for some degree of flexibility and is sometimes of shorter duration in children…..Read more
Sinusitis, also known as rhinosinusitis, is inflammation of the mucous membranes that line the sinuses resulting in symptoms that may include thick nasal mucus, a plugged nose, and facial pain. Other signs and symptoms may include fever, headaches, a poor sense of smell, sore throat, and a cough. It is defined as acute sinusitis if it lasts less than 4 weeks, and as chronic sinusitis if it lasts for more than 12 weeks.
Sinusitis can be caused by infection, allergies, air pollution, or structural problems in the nose. Most cases are caused by a viral infection. Recurrent episodes are more likely in persons with asthma, cystic fibrosis, and poor immune function. X-rays are not usually needed unless complications are suspected. In chronic cases, confirmatory testing is recommended by either direct visualization or computed tomography.
Some cases may be prevented by hand washing, avoiding smoking, and immunization. Pain killers such as naproxen, nasal steroids, and nasal irrigation may be used to help with symptoms. Recommended initial treatment for acute sinusitis is watchful waiting. If symptoms do not improve in 7–10 days or get worse, then an antibiotic may be used or changed. In those in whom antibiotics are used, either amoxicillin or amoxicillin/clavulanate is recommended first line. Surgery may occasionally be used in people with chronic disease…..Read more
Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi (large and medium-sized airways) in the lungs that causes coughing. Symptoms include coughing up sputum, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest pain. Bronchitis can be acute or chronic.
Acute bronchitis usually has a cough that lasts around three weeks, and is also known as a chest cold. In more than 90% of cases the cause is a viral infection. These viruses may be spread through the air when people cough or by direct contact. A small number of cases are caused by a bacterial infection such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae or Bordetella pertussis. Risk factors include exposure to tobacco smoke, dust, and other air pollution. Treatment of acute bronchitis typically involves rest, paracetamol (acetaminophen), and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to help with the fever…..Read more

Together with its close relative pine needle (Pinus sylvestris), silver fir essential oil does not appear to be very popular in the world of aromatherapy despite its many benefits. Nonetheless, it has powerful antiseptic properties that can be put to great use during the cold and flu season, – vaporizing it helps to stop the spread of infection and clears a stuffy nose at the same time.
The extracted essential oil has a wide range of therapeutic properties including analgesic, antiseptic, astringent, balsamic, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, expectorant, immune-stimulant, rubefacient, stimulant, tonic, vasoconstrictor and vulnerary.
Its rubefacient and diuretic properties are ideal in combination with massage for such conditions as muscular aches and pains, arthritis, rheumatism, fluid retention and cellulite. Silver fir has a mild analgesic action that really seems to help ease stiff joints and muscles, whilst acting as a tonic to the whole system.
This tonic action also helps boost the emotions, bringing upliftment to downheartedness, negativity, sadness, stress and nervous exhaustion. When vaporizing the oil, for me the fragrance is always reminiscent of a walk in a coniferous forest – uplifting, refreshing and highly rewarding.
Silver fir essential oil is a top note, adding a fresh, green nuance wherever it is used. It blends very nicely with cypress, cedars, lavender, lemongrass, marjoram sweet, peppermint, rosemary, sandalwood, spearmint and most citrus oils.
” I drink ZEN Fuze after weightlifting and ZEN Fit. Those two are my favorites when it is gym time. I must say that they are certainly the best I have tried so far. Their taste and flavor are the best, but also the quality, energy and completeness. I feel very good after training when I take them.”
” My favorite is product is RESERVE, because I can use it as a snack. Each time I drink it I feel good and recharged. I drink NEVO to get energy when I’m tired or I feel a little down. I take it before all the races, and it charges me up.”
” I use many Jeunesse products. If I have to choose one favorite, I would say NEVO. It gives me an immediate and long-lasting energy-not to mention it is very tasty. And the ZEN Fuze and ZEN Fit, which I use after physical activity. I consider these products to be the best on the market.”
